Skype lessons

My name is Lidia and I have many years experience teaching foreign languages, English, Spanish and French, to all ages and abilities. I teach one-to-one lessons from my flat in Bristol, off the Gloucester Road in Bristol, UK, but I also teach using the latest online technologies: Skype.

Skype is a free programme that allows for real time communication between two people. It is easy to download and install and can be used in Macs and PCs. For more information on Skype and to download go to www.skype.com. To use it you will need a fast Internet connection, broadband or similar, and your computer must be able to reproduce sound as well as possess a microphone or sound input. Although Skype allows you as well to see the other person’s face if they have a camera, you won’t need a camera for the online lessons. It is nice if you have one, so you and the teacher can see each other, which makes the one-to-one session more like a face-to-face one.

During the Skype session we will carry out the same exercises and activities that we would do in a face-to-face lesson. The activities and the teaching is tailored to your needs and adapted to your preferences and skills. Handouts and materials will be emailed to you or transferred via Skype.
