This Spanish intermediate level course for adults learners is based on the communicative method. The aim of the course is to get learners speaking and increase their confidence using the Spanish language.
To join this intermediate Spanish course you need to know the present tense in Spanish most common irregular verbs, ser/estar/ir/haber/, regular verbs (-AR, -ER, -IR), verbs with vowel change in present, and verbs with 1stperson irregular. Future with “ir a , and future simple tense.
You will be introduced to past time in Spanish, learning the 2 past tenses pretérito simple and imperfecto, and you will learn as well present perfect.
The course will be conducted mainly in Spanish, excluding areas where it will be necessary to use English such as grammar explanations.
The course will consist of reading of texts in Spanish, learning new vocabulary and structures, class debates about the topics treated using the new words learned, as well as practising all 3 tenses present, past and future.
Coursework will sometimes consist of a short written text following the grammar points and topics seen in class, your teacher will correct it and give it back to you with feedback.
All coursework/homework is not compulsory, but it is designed to help you practise at home during classes and help you find areas where you need to work or more help from your teacher.
